The ages of two friends Ani and Biju differ by 3 years. Ani’s father Dharam is twice as old as Ani and Biju as twice as old as his sister Cathy. The ages of Cathy and Dharam differ by 30 years. Find the ages of Ani and Biju.

Let the age of Ani is $x$

And age of Biju is $x-3$

Age of dharm $=2x$

And $(x-3)=$ 2 $\times$ age of cathy

$\Rightarrow$ age of cathy $=\frac{(x-3)}{2}$

Age of dharma - age of cathy $=30$

$\Rightarrow 2x-\frac{(x-3)}{2}=30$

$\Rightarrow \frac{4x-x+3}{2}=30$

$\Rightarrow 3x+3=60$

$\Rightarrow x=19$

So, Ani's age is 19 years,

And Biju's age is: $x-3=19-3=16$ years

Hence, Ani’s age = 19 years, Biju’s age = 16 years
