Question

The angles of a triangle are in the ratio 1:2:3, find the measure of each angle of the triangle

Open in App
Solution

Let the angles be x,y and z.
We have, x+y+z=180(since, sum of angles of a triangle=180°)
x:y:z=1:2:3
Let, x=a
Therefore, y=2a, z=3a
Which implies, a+2a+3a=180°
6a=180
a=30
x=30°
Therefore, y=2a=60°
z=3a=90°
Are the angles of the triangle.
