Question 18
The area of a parallelogram is 60cm2 and one of its altitude is 5 cm. The length of its corresponding side is
(a) 12 cm
(b) 6 cm
(c) 4 cm
(d) 2 cm
Let the corresponding side be a cm
Let the altitude be h cm
We know that,
Area of ∥gm=Side×Altitude
⇒60=a×h
⇒a×h=60
⇒a×5=60
⇒a=605 =12 cm
∴a=12 cm
