The area of a parallelogram is same as that of a rectangle with dimension $40cm$ by $12cm$. If the base of a parallelogram is $16cm$, find the height of parallelogram.

Given area of parallelogram = area of rectangle

area of rectangle = $40\times 12c{m}^2$

Area = $480c{m}^2$

Let 'h' be height of 11 gm

then

Area = $\frac{1}{2}\times base\times height=\frac{1}{2}\times h\times 16=480$

$h=\frac{480\times 2}{16}=60cm$

$\therefore$ Height of parallelogram is 60 cm.
