Question 56
The area of a rectangular field is 1600 sq m. If the length of the field is 80 m, find the perimeter of the field.
Given, area of the rectangular field = 1600 sq m
and length of the rectangular field = 80 m
We know that, area of rectangle = Length×Breadth
Let breadth of the rectangular field = b
Then, Area = 80 ×b
⇒ 1600 = 80×b
⇒ 160080=80×b80
⇒ b = 20 m
Now, perimeter of the rectangular field = 2×(Length + Breadth)
= 2×(80 + 20)
= 2×100
= 200 m
