The area of a rectangular plot is $528m^2$. The length of the plot is one more than twice its breadth. Find the length and breadth of the plot.

Let 'b' be breadth of rectangle then according to question

length of rectangle 'L' = 2b+1

given area of rectangle = $528m^2$

$L\times B=528$

$(2b+1)\left(b\right)=528$

$2b^2+b-528=0$ ________ (1)

$2b^2+33b-32b-528=0$

$2b(b-16)+33(b-16)=0$

$(2b+33)(b-16)=0$ $\therefore [b=16]$

and length = 33 cm & breadth = 16 cm
