= 40 cm × 40 cm = 1600 cm${}^2$

Area of the rectangle = Area of the square
Area of the rectangle = 1600 cm${}^2$
and breadth of the rectangle = 25 cm.

Area of the rectangle = length × breadth
$\therefore$ 1600 = length × 25
So, length = $\frac{1600}{25}$ = 64 cm

Perimeter of the rectangle = 2 (length + breadth) = 2 (64 + 25) cm = 2 × 89 cm = 178 cm
