Area of square = side $\times$ side $= 36 s q . c m$
$\Rightarrow$ side of square = 6 cm (as 6 x 6 = 36)
$∴$ Length of rectangle $= 1 \times side of the square$
$= 1 \times 6 = 6 c m$
Breadth of the rectangle = Half of the side length = 6 $\div$ 2 = 3 cm
$∴$ Perimeter of rectangle = 2 $\times$ length + 2 $\times$ breadth
$= 2 \times 6 + 2 \times 3 = 18 c m$
