Let the present ages of the woman and her daughter be 15x and 8x years, respectively

From the question, 15x + 8x = 2 × 46

→ 23x = 92

→ x = 9223 = 4

Now, required ratio = (15x+ 8) : (8x + 8)

= (15×4+8):(8×4+8)

= 68 : 40 = 17 : 10
