The base of cylindrical vessel measures 300 $c m^{2}$ . Water is poured into it up to a depth of 6 cm. Calculate the pressure of water on the base in vessel.

We already know that $p = ρ$ gh where

$ρ$ = density of water =1000kg/ $m^{2}$

g= acceleration due to gravity = 10m $s^{- 2}$

h=height=6cm=0.06m

As $p = ρ g h = 1000 \times 10 \times 0.06$

$600 k g m^{- 1} s^{- 2} = 600 P a$
