Total runs scored by the player in 50 innings =50×50

Total runs scored by the player in 48 innings after excluding two innings= 48×48

Sum of the scores of the excluded innings =(50 × 50) -- (48 × 48) = 196.

Given that the scores of the excluded innings differ by 162. Hence let's take the lowest score as x and highest score as x + 162.

Now x + 162 + x = 196

2x = 34

x = 17

Lowest score = 17.
