Area of Central hall = $18 \times 12.5$ = $225$ $m^{2}$
Area of covered portion = ( $18 - 0.5$ )( $12.5 - 0.5$ ) = $210$ $m^{2}$
Area of uncovered portion = Area of central hall $-$ Area of covered portion = $225 - 210$ = $15$ $m^{2}$
