The circumference of the base of a cylinder is 88cm and its height is 15cm. Find the volume of the cylinder.

Circumference of the base of cylinder = 88cm
Let r be the radius
$\therefore 2\pi r=88\Rightarrow 2\times \frac{22}{7}r=88\Rightarrow r=\frac{88\times 7}{2\times 22}=14cm$
and height= 15cm
$\therefore$ Volume of cylinder = $\pi r^{2}h$
$=\frac{22}{7}\times 14\times 14\times 15c{m}^3=9240c{m}^3$
