The clavicle or collarbone is a long curved horizontal bone attached to the sternoclavicular ligament on one side and the acromioclavicular ligament on the other. The shoulder bone forms the posterior part of the shoulder girdle and lies at the back of the thorax, superficially to the ribs. It is a triangular flat bone.
