Question

The conductivity of $$0.20\ M$$ solution of $$KCl$$ at $$298\ K$$ is $$0.025\ S\ cm^{-1}$$. Calculate its molar conductivity.


Solution

Given, $$K=0.025 S cm^{-1} and C=0.2 M$$

Formula of molar conductivity,

$$\Lambda_m=\dfrac{\kappa_m\times 1000}C$$

=$$\dfrac{0.025\times 1000}{0.2}$$

=$$125\ S cm^2mol^{-1}$$
