The constituent assembly of India was a miniature India because it included representation from all parts of India and all sections of Indian society. Every province of India was represented in the constituent assembly with majority of members being from the large provinces of Madras and United Provinces. All religions were represented. There were Hindus, Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Parsis in the assembly. In terms of social classes, there were members from lower castes, merchant classes, women, salaried classes, professional classes, and agricultural labourers. Hence, the assembly genuinely represented all of India.
