a) H2O has lone pair-lone pair repulsions whereas NH3 has only one lone pair and hence, the bond angle in ammonia is greater than water.


b) Due to the greater electronegativity difference, the bond pairs are more close to the nitrogen in the case of ammonia and hence has the greater repulsions between the bonded pair of electrons and has a larger bond angle than NF3.
