Solution

The correct option is C 6.00Letthecostofhorserideforoneadultisx$
Then as per given question cost of one child is half of one adult = x2
Then cost of 2 adults of horse ride =2x
And cost of 3 children of horse ride = x2×3=3x2
Then total cost of 2 adults and 3 children of horse ride = 2x+3x2
But total cost of 2 adults and 3 children of horse ride is $14 ....(Given)
2x+3x2=14
4x+3x=28
7x=28
x=4
So cost of horse ride for one adult is $4
Then cost of horse ride for one children = 42=2$
Then total cost of one adult and one child = 4+2=$6
