CP = Cost Price

Let, SP of one candle be $Rs.1$

Then SP of 15 candles$=Rs.15$

Hence, CP of 12 candles$=Rs.15$

And SP of 12 candles$=Rs.12$

$\therefore$ Loss = CP$-$SP = $Rs.15-Rs.12$ =$Rs.3$

Loss percent = $\frac{\text{Loss}}{\text{CP}}\times 100\%=\frac{3}{15}\times 100\%=20\%$
