Given, Base area of the cylinder=38.5cm2
⇒π×r2=38.5
⇒227×r2=38.5
⇒r2=38.5×722
⇒r=√12.25
∴r=3.5 cm
Curved surface area of a cylinder =176 cm2
⇒2πrh=176
⇒2×227×3.5×h=176
⇒h=176×72×22×3.5
∴h=8 cm
So, the volume of the cylinder is =πr2h
=227×(3.5)2×8
=308 cm3.
