The curved surface area of cylinder is $4400c{m}^2$ and the circumference of its base is 110cm. Find the height and the volume of the cylinder.

and height =H
Curved surface area of the cylinder, $S=2\pi RH=4400c{m}^2$
Circumference of the base, $C=2\pi R=110cm$
$2\pi RH=4400and2\pi R=110$
Hence $H=\frac{2\pi RH}{2\pi R}=\frac{4400}{110}=40cm$
Since circumference, $C=2\pi R=110$
and $R=\frac{C}{2\pi }=\frac{110}{2\pi }=\frac{55}{\pi }cm$
Volume, $V=\pi R^{2}H=\pi {\frac{55}{\pi }}^2\times 4=38515.496c{m}^2$
