Functions of lymph Nutritive: Supplies nutrition to those parts where blood cannot reach. Drainage: It drains away excess tissues fluid and metabolites and returns proteins to the blood from tissue spaces. Absorption: Fats from the intestine are absorbed and carried through the lymph.
