The structure represented in the diagram is of Nephron. Nephrons are the functional unit of kidney. A human kidney contains about 1 million nephrons. Nephrons are thin, long and much convulated tubules. Several collecting ducts from different nephrons open into main collecting duct which is called duct of Bellini. In the given diagram of Nephron, Part 1 shows Bowman's capsule which encapsulates the glomerulus and part 2 shows collecting duct.
