Radius of road roller (r) = d2=442=22 cm

Height of road roller (h) = 1.4 m

= 140 cm

Area of levelled surface, when its rolls once = Curved surface area of cylindrical road roller

= 2πrh

= 2×22/7×22×/14020

= 2×22×22×20

= 19360 cm2

= 1.936 m2
