The dry cell of E.M.F 12 V, is connected in series to a 3Ω and a 6Ω resistor. Calculate the heat energy produced by the 3Ω resistor in 5s.
A battery of e.m.f. 15 V and internal resistance 3 Ω is connected to two resistors 3 Ω and 6 Ω connected in parallel. Find:
(a) the current through the battery,
(b) the p.d. between the terminals of the battery,
(c) the current in 3 Ω resistor,
(d) the current in 6 Ω resistor.
A p.d. of 6 V is applied to two resistors of 3Ω and 6Ω connected in parallel, calculate :
(a) the combined resistance (b) the current flowing in the main circuit (c) the current flowing in the 3Ω resistor.
