The dyes present in marker pen ink can separated by the technique of
Chromatography
The explanation for the correct option:
Different separation techniques are present depending upon the property of the substance to be separated.
(B) Chromatography:
The explanation for the incorrect option:
(A) Crystallisation: Substance that is dissolved in the solvent can be separated using this technique. The impure sample is dissolved in the solvent, heated and when the solution becomes concentrated is allowed to cool. The impurities containing the water layer can be decanted from the crystals of the pure sample formed during cooling.
(C) Evaporation: Substances which is dissolved in the solvent can be recovered by heating the solution and evaporating the solvent part.
(D) Fractional distillation: A mixture of miscible liquids having a boiling point difference less than can be separated by fractional distillation. The mixture is heated in the distillation flask and the vapours liquid is passed through the fractionating column (glass beads packed in the tube). The liquid with a higher boiling point falls into the distillation flask and the liquid with a lower boiling point pass through the condenser and is collected in the receiver.
Thus option (B) chromatography is correct, which is used to separate the dyes present in the black ink .
