Open in App
Solution

Seventy-one percent of the Earth's surface is covered with water. When light reaches the water on the earth, it absorbs every light of white light and reflects only blue light. Thus, the Earth appears blue when seen from space. Hence, it is also known as the Blue Planet or the Water Planet.
