Given:

E=40cos(kz6×108t)^i

On comparing this equation with, E=E0cos(kzωt)^i, we get,

ω=6×108 rad/s

Now, we know that, speed of electromagnetic wave,

c=ωk

k=ωc=6×1083×108=2 m1

Hence, option (A) is the correct answer.
