Given:
E=(1200 ^i+1600 ^j) N/C;
Surface area, A=0.2 m2

From the diagram, we can see that positive normal to the rectangular surface area is along +x axis.

Thus, area vector, A=(0.2 ^i) m2

Now electric flux ϕ is written as

ϕ=E.A

ϕ=(1200^i+1600^j).(0.2^i)

ϕ=1200×0.2+1600×0=240 N-m2/C

So, option (b) is correct.
