The energy is conserved during the production of hydroelectricity. Explain it.

Law of conservation of Energy:

  1. Energy follows the law of conservation. According to this law “energy can neither be created nor be destroyed”. But we can make changes from one form to another form.

Hydroelectricity:

  1. Water stored in a dam possesses an enormous amount of gravitational potential energy. When the water is released from the dam, this energy is converted into kinetic energy.
  2. The kinetic energy of the falling water is utilized to rotate the turbines of a generator that produces electrical energy.
  3. In this conservation law is applied because energy is converging from one form to another form.
