Solution

The correct option is B 3
Eq. wt. of element is 4
It's chloride has vapour density= 59.25
To find: valency of element
Molar mass of that chloride = 2×59.25
= 118.25 gm
Eq. wt. of element is 4 means 4 gm element reacts with 35.5 gm chlorine so eq. wt of metal chloride is 4+35.5=39.5 gm
Eq wt. × valanecy = Molar mass
valency=118.539.5=3
Option B is correct.
