The floor is in rectanguar shape.
Perimeter of the rectangular hall $= 2 (l + b) = 280$ m
$\Rightarrow l + b = \frac{280}{2} = 140$ m
Height of the wall $= h = 6$ m
White washing the four walls including the doors and windows
$=$ Lateral surface area of a cuboid
$= 2 (b h + l h) = 2 h (l + b)$
$= 2 \times 6 \times 140 m^{2} = 1, 680 ‬ m^{2}$
Cost for White washing $1 m^{2} =$ Rs. $10$
Cost for White washing $1, 680 ‬ m^{2} =$ Rs. $10 \times 1, 680 ‬ m^{2} =$ Rs $16, 800 ‬$
