Solution

The correct option is B

Solution Y is formic acid.

According to pH: solution X is acidic, solution Y is neutral and solution Z is basic. So, acids react with metal to liberate hydrogen, acid and base reacts together to form salt and water. Also acids react with CaCO3 to liberate CO2 gas. But pH of formic acid is 2.3 and not 7.
