(a) Breakdown of glucose molecules to generate energy in the presence of oxygen is called aerobic respiration. Glucose gets completely oxidized to form a CO2 and H2O as the end product along with 38ATP.

(b) Breakdown of glucose molecules in the absence of oxygen to generate energy is called anaerobic respiration. Glucose is incompletely broken down to form ethyl alcohol along with carbon dioxide and 2ATP.
