The correct option is D ethene
During the electrolysis of potassium succinate, the anion produced is succinate anion. It gives one ethene molecule and 2CO2 gas. The reaction is as follows:

(CH2COO)2CH2=CH2+2CO2(g)+2e

At cathode, water molecule get reduce to produce H2 gas as shown below:

2H2O+2e2OH+H2(g)

OH generated here further reacts with K+ ion present near cathode to form KOH.

2K++2OH2KOH

So, the electrolysis of potassium succinate produces CO2 as well as H2 gas.
