  • Food preservation is the technique through which we can preserve food from harmful microorganisms and it can be done through various ways, like heating, pickling, pasteurisation, freezing etc,.
  • Here in the graph we can clearly see that 'P' refers to the ultra-heat treatment as the temperature here is more that 120 degree celsius. In this the food is sterilised and then stored in a microbe-free container.
  • Then the 'Q' here is the pasteurisation as we can see here that the food is first being heated at 70 degree celsius for about 20 seconds and then sudden chilling is done and is stored.
