The given graph shows three methods of food preservation P, Q and R, which work on the principle that at particular temperature the growth of food spoiling microbes is adversely affected. Which of the following options is correct regarding this?
Food preservation is the technique through which we can preserve food from harmful microorganisms and it can be done in various ways, like heating, pickling, pasteurisation, freezing etc,. Here in the graph, we can clearly see that 'P' refers to the ultra-heat treatment as the temperature here is more than 120-degree Celsius. In this, the food is sterilized and then stored in a microbe-free container. Then the 'Q' here is the pasteurisation as we can see here that the food is first heated at 70-degree celsius for about 20 seconds and then sudden chilling is done and is stored. Next 'R' here refers to the freeze preservation technique in which the food is stored in cold freezing temperature to preserve it for a longer period of time. Thus, all of these statements are correct.
