Solution

The heart is a muscular organ about the size of a closed fist that functions as the body's circulatory pump. The heart is conical in shape and has four chambers - left auricle, right auricle, left ventricle and right ventricle. It is surrounded by a protective membrane called the pericardium. The cavity formed inside the pericardium is called the pericardial cavity which contains a fluid that reduces friction as the heart beats.
