2C+2O22CO2ΔH=788.....(1)
H2+12O2H2OΔH=286kJ.....(2)
C2H2+52O22CO2+H2OΔH=1301kJ
2CO2+H2OC2H2+52O2ΔH=1301kJ.....(3)
Adding eqn(1),(2)&(3), we have
2C+H2C2H2ΔH=227kJ
Hence the heat of formation of C2H2 is 227kJ.
