The correct option is C 8000 sq cm
The volume of the water tank = 1000 L

1 L = 1000 cu cm

Hence, 1000 L = 1000 $\times$ 1000 = 1000000 cu cm

Height of the water tank = 125 cm

Volume = base area $\times$ height

1000000 = base area $\times$ 125

base area = 1000000 $\div$ 125 = 8000

Hence, base area of the water tank = 8000 sq cm.
