The correct option is A $9$
The pressure exerted by mercury $= ρ g h$
where $ρ =$ density of mercury $= 13.6 g c m^{- 3}$
$g =$ acceleration due to gravity $= 10$
$h =$ height of mercury column $= 70 c m$
$∴ P = 13.6 \times 10 \times 70 = 9520 g c m^{2}$
Now, Same pressure is exerted by water $= 9520$
So, we know that $P = ρ g h$
So. $h = \frac{9520}{1 \times 10} = 952 c m = 9.52 m$
