  1. The hormone that helps increase the reabsorption of water from kidney tubules is the antidiuretic hormone (ADH) also called vasopressin.
  2. It acts upon kidney tubules to enhance water reabsorption and also causes contraction of blood vessels resulting in increased blood pressure.
  3. Hyposecretion causes diabetes insipidus and hypersecretion causes a rise in blood pressure.
