Prolactin is the hormone released from the anterior pituitary. The hormone helps in the enlargement of mammary glands in pregnant females. The hormone causes milk production during pregnancy. FSH (follicle stimulating hormone) is a gonadotropin. The hormone is called as gonadotropin because it has an effect on gonads, testes in males and ovaries in females.
