  1. LED works always on the forward biasing condition, and it emits light when energized.
  2. The recombination of electrons and holes at the junction leads to the production of light energy. Emit radiation in the infrared region. If the LED is reverse-biased, then no light would be emitted.
  3. To increase the frequency of light emitted from a Light Emitting Diode, the potential barrier of the diode is increased. So, for the same value of current, a higher value of voltage is required for a higher frequency.
