Let the number of matches lost be x
The number of matches won = x + 4.
Total matches played = x + x + 4
We have, $x+4=\frac{3}{5}(2x+4)$
$\Rightarrow 5(x+4)=3(2x+4)$
$\Rightarrow 5x+20=6x+12$
$\Rightarrow 6x-5x=20-12$
$\Rightarrow x=8$
$\therefore$ Total matches played = x + x + 4
= 8 + 8+ 4
=20
