Capillary rise in a tube, h=2σ cos θcρ gr

For water contact angle θc=0 and specific weight, ρg=9810 N/m3

h1=2×0.078×Cos 09810×0.5×103=1564905=0.0318 m=31.8 mm

Also, h2=2×0.078 cos 09810×0.75×103=0.0212 m=21.2 mm

The difference in the level of menisci between the two arms is 31.821.2=10.6 mm
