The length and breadth of a rectangle are in ratio 7:5. If the rectangle is enlarged by increasing the length by 6 cm, then the new ratio is 2:1. Find the length and breadth of the original rectangle.

Given
Length : Breadth = 7 : 5
Let Length = 7x , Breadth = 5x
Increase in length = 6cm
New Length = 7x + 6, Breadth = 5x

$7x+6:5x=2:1$
$\frac{7x+6}{5x}=\frac{2}{1}$
$7x+6=10x$
$3x=6x=2$

Length of orignal rectangle = 2 x 7=14 cm
Breadth of orignal rectangle = 2 x 5= 10 cm
