Let the breadth of the rectangle be y cm
Length = 15 cm (Given)
Perimeter = 70 cm (Given)
Perimeter of the rectangle = Sum of the lengths of its four sides.

⇒70 = 15 + 15 + y+ y

⇒70 =2 (15 + y)

⇒35 = (15+y)

⇒ y = 20

∴ The width of rectangle is 20 cm
Area covered by the rectangle
= 15 cm × 20 cm = 300 cm${}^2$
