The length of a rectangular field is three times its breadth. If the area of the field be $147m^2$, find the length of the field.

Breadth of a rectangle $=x$ (Say)
Length of the rectangle $=3x$
Area $=147m^2$
$\Rightarrow x\times 3x=147$

$\Rightarrow 3x^2=147$

$\Rightarrow x^2=\frac{147}{3}=49$

$\Rightarrow x^2=7^2$

$\Rightarrow x=7$

$\therefore$ Breadth $=7m$ and
Length $=2\times 7cm=14m$
