The lower chambers of the heart which pump blood with maximum pressure are called _________ .
The lower chambers of the heart are called ventricles. Heart contains two ventricles, left and right. Left ventricle receives the oxygenated blood from the left atrium and circulates it to all parts of the body through blood vessels. Right ventricle on the other hand receives the deoxygenated blood from right atrium and sends it to the lungs for oxygenation. These chambers have a large volume and have the thickest muscular walls. This helps in pumping blood throughout the body and the lungs.
